[Archived] Open House Scheduled for Taney Avenue Park Improvements on May 26

The City of Alexandria Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities will hold an informal outdoor Open House for the Taney Avenue Park Improvement project on Thursday, May 26 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Taney Avenue Park, 4149 Taney Ave.  The park improvements will include new children’s play area, site furnishings, trails, and plantings.   For more information, visit the Taney Avenue Park Improvements project website.

Neighbors and interested persons can drop-in to learn more about the project and provide feedback to City staff.  Staff will also be available to give walking tours of the proposed improvements.  In the event of heavy rain or thunderstorms, the Open House is cancelled.  Feedback about the project may also be submitted by completing the online survey.
