[Archived] Park & Recreation Commission to Hold Public Hearing on Potomac Yard Park and Potomac Greens Park

The Park and Recreation Commission will hold a public hearing on the staff recommendations on the Preliminary Plans related to the Potomac Yard Metrorail Station project on Thursday, May 19, 2016, 7 p.m., at the Charles Houston Community Center, 901 Wythe St. After the public hearing, the Commission will hold its regular monthly meeting.

This public hearing is an opportunity for the community to comment on the Potomac Yard Metrorail Station project related revisions proposed for the adjoining Potomac Yard Park and Potomac Greens Park. The Potomac Yard Metrorail Station project related Development Special Use Permits (DSUPs), including amendments to existing DSUPs for the Potomac Yard Park and Potomac Greens Park, will go to the Planning Commission and City Council for approval in June 2016. 

Individuals unable to attend the Public Hearing are encouraged to send written comments by 3 p.m. Thursday, May 19 to Robin DeShields by email at Robin.DeShields@alexandriava.gov or standard mail to RPCA, Attn: Robin DeShields, 1108 Jefferson St., Alexandria VA 22314. All comments received before by, May 19 will be forwarded to the Park & Recreation Commission for consideration.  After discussion, the Commission will hear comments from the public.
