[Archived] City of Alexandria to Hold Interim Fitzgerald Square Community Meeting

The City of Alexandria will hold a community meeting on February 16, 2016, to present information and gather input on the design of the Interim Fitzgerald Square project.  The meeting will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., in the Sister Cities Conference Room 1101 (City Hall, 301 King St.).

The Waterfront Small Area Plan, approved in June 2014, envisions a new public plaza at the foot of King Street called Fitzgerald Square. In anticipation of the Old Dominion Boat Club’s pending move to Prince Street, the City is working to develop an approach to open the space to the public following the Boat Club’s move.

Additional opportunities to provide feedback will be available at www.alexandriava.gov/Waterfront.
