[Archived] UPDATE: Police Make Second Arrest in Four Mile Park Homicide

Alexandria Police have made a second arrest in connection with the homicide of Eduardo David Chandias Almendarez, who was found deceased in Four Mile Run Park on December 4, 2015.

Boris Rosa Castro, 19, of Fairfax City, was charged with Murder. He is being held without bond.

On February 2, 2016, an off-duty Fairfax City police officer observed the suspect while driving to work. He recalled that the suspect was wanted in relation to a homicide case in Alexandria. The officer immediately contacted on-duty personnel who responded and detained the suspect.

“Collaboration between area departments is key in stopping crime,” said Chief Earl Cook, “This is a great example that officers such as this one are never truly ‘off-duty’ and continue to look out for the communities in which they work. The Alexandria Police Department extends our deepest thanks to Fairfax City Police for their assistance in apprehending a dangerous suspect.”
