The Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural
Activities offers a variety of options for celebrating a safe Halloween in
Alexandria October 23-31. Join in the fun with friends in your neighborhood at
one of the upcoming programs:
Friday, October 23:
- Charles Barrett: Family Fall Festival, 6-8 p.m.
All Ages. Come out and enjoy
pumpkin painting, bingo, cookie decorating and more! Free.

Center, 1115 Martha Custis Dr.
- Chinquapin: Family Fun Spooktacular, 6-9 p.m.
All Ages. Floating pumpkin
patch, pumpkin decorating, floating obstacle course, and swimming. $4 each.

Recreation Center & Aquatics Facility, 3210 King St.
Friday, October 30:
- Cora Kelly: Fright Night, 6:30-8:30 p.m.
All Ages. Join us for a bootiful
evening of fun while zombies and goblins roam throughout the Haunted House and
Exhibit rooms. $5 each.

- William Ramsay: October Fest, 5-8 p.m.
Ages 5-12. Haunted house, arts
& crafts, spooky musical chairs, face painting, scary movies, dance and
other fun activities. $7 each.

- Mount Vernon: Family Masquerade Ball, 6-9 p.m.
All Ages. Enjoy dancing, photo
opportunities, a costume contest and refreshments. $9 each.

My!, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
All Ages. Learn about the animal
myths associated with Halloween. Free.

- Charles Houston: Trunk or Treat, 5-8:30 p.m.
All Ages. Come and celebrate
Halloween as we “Trunk or Treat” for a scary good time! Free.

p.m.
12 and under. Come party with us
and have a ghostly time trunk or treating and engage in fun activities for
everyone! Free.

6:30-8:30 p.m.
Ages 6-15. Enjoy storytelling,
sing-a-longs, a costume contest and an indoor Haunted House sponsored by ARHA.
