UPDATE: Police Identify Victim in Homicide on Belle Pre Way

The victim in last night’s homicide has been identified as Leon Williams, 37, of Alexandria.

Police Investigate Homicide on Belle Pre Way

The Alexandria Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred on Belle Pre Way on Wednesday, October 7, 2015. 

At approximately 11:45 p.m., officers responded to the area for a shooting. The victim was located by police suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he later died. The investigation is ongoing.

The victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
