The Alexandria Police Department is investigating a shooting that
occurred in the 4200 block of Duke Street on Tuesday, August 18, 2015.
At approximately 8:26 p.m., officers responded to a report of shots heard in
the 4200 block of Duke Street. As officers investigated the initial report,
they were notified that a 53 year-old man arrived at a local hospital with a
gunshot wound to his hand. The victim had driven himself to the hospital. The
investigation is ongoing.
