[Archived] Construction work scheduled at Mount Jefferson Park/W&OD Greenway

The Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities will begin site work to open a new pedestrian entrance to Mount Jefferson Park/WOD Greenway at the end of Stewart Ave. (Randolph Ave. intersection).  Currently the end of Stewart Ave. is fenced off and does not permit entry into the park. 

Work includes removal of existing chain link fence, guardrail, and vegetation, and installation of new split rail fence, trail, and restorative plantings.

Weather depending, work will begin the week of June 15 and will be completed within three weeks. The Stewart Avenue entrance will be closed during construction.
