[Archived] RunningBrooke Partners with the Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities to Revitalize Hume Springs Park

For Immediate Release June 11, 2015

On June 10, RunningBrooke presented the Alexandria City Council with a contribution of $80,000 to revitalize Hume Springs Park, located at 100 Dale St.  The park is located in Arlandria, which has one of the highest percentage of young children under five years old.

Funds will be used to renovate the existing playgrounds, provide new fencing, gardens, a water fountain, benches, and picnic tables.  For additional information about the park and its improvements, download the Neighborhood Parks Draft Improvement Plans

Implementation of the improvements will begin late summer 2015, and will include two volunteer work events in September.  The improvements are anticipated to be complete fall 2015.
