The Investigator of the Year Award is given to an individual who has shown outstanding achievement through the use of professional expertise in both the criminal and civil fields of arson control. The IAAI received nominations from 43 countries, and selected AFM Buchanan for her work on the Southern Towers serial arsonist case.
The IAAI Investigator of the year is the highest recognition in the Fire Investigation profession.
