The driver of vehicle involved in the single-car fatal collision has been identified as Anthony Freedman, 46, of Fairfax County. The collision is still under investigation.
Police Investigate Traffic Fatality on Van Dorn Street
The Alexandria Police Department is investigating a fatal traffic collision that occurred this morning on Van Dorn Street near W. Braddock Road. At approximately 3:40 a.m., a vehicle traveling northbound on Van Dorn Street left the roadway and struck a building. The driver was found deceased inside the vehicle.
The vehicle involved in the collision was a newer model white Ford Mustang. Police ask that anyone who witnessed this vehicle in the area early this morning contact Investigator Diana Barrett at 703.746.6873.
