Winter Warmer Teas with Martha Washington

Enjoy an 18^th-century tea with friends!

 The final Winter Warmer Tea of winter 2015 features Mrs. Rebecca Ramsey Reese, a 20^th century preservationist who helped restore Gadsby’s Tavern Museum.  The tea takes place on Sunday, March 22 in Gadsby’s Tavern Restaurant.  Enjoy the warmth and hospitality of Gadsby’s Tavern, sip a special blend of tea from Gadsby’s Tavern Museum, “take” a cup of American Heritage Chocolate, and eat period-inspired delicacies, both sweet and savory, with your 21^st-century friends and hostess Mrs. Reese as she shares story about the restoration of the building and the revived tradition of the Birthnight Ball.

 As America began as a nation during the late 18^th century and emerged in the 19^th century, Gadsby’s Tavern was the center of social and political life in Alexandria as well as the new Federal City of Washington.
