[Archived] Alexandria Commission for Women Seeks Nominations for Awards Program

The Alexandria Commission for Women seeks nominations of women, men and youth who have made a significant impact on women and girls in Alexandria for its 35th Annual Salute to Women Awards Ceremony. In addition to recognizing community leaders, this year’s event will commemorate the 40th Anniversary of the Alexandria Sexual Assault Center and will take place on Thursday, March 26 at 6 p.m. at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.  Winners will be recognized for their achievements in several areas, including health and safety, legislative advocacy, and providing opportunities for youth. Proceeds from this event support the Alexandria Sexual Assault Center.  All nominations must be submitted to the Department of Community and Human Services by the close of business on Friday, February 20, 2015.
