[Archived] City of Alexandria Schedules Community Meeting on the Chinquapin Aquatics Facility Feasibility Study

The Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities will host a public meeting on Wednesday, February 25, 7 p.m. at the Minnie Howard School Media Center/Library, 3801 W. Braddock Rd., to provide an update and discuss the City of Alexandria’s Chinquapin Aquatics Center Feasibility Study. The study is exploring options for a new 50 meter indoor pool and renovated recreation pool at the Chinquapin Park Recreation Center and Aquatics Facility.  The public is encouraged to attend and hear an update on the study and related cost estimates from the consultant team, Hughes Group Architects.

In May 2014, the first component (Task 1a) of the study was completed by the consultant team and presented to City Council. In November, 2014 Task 1B was completed. Both reports are available at https://www.alexandriava.gov/recreation/info/default.aspx?id=78867.
