Music, stories and crafts for children

 

“I’m a tower of royal power!” is the heart of Jessica “Culture Queen” Smith’s message. She encourages children to take ownership over their roles as cultural ambassadors of their communities.  Culture Kingdom Kids, LLC, takes a fun, fresh and culturally-relevant approach to enhancing children’s personal connections to local and national African American history. Music, movement and crafts awaken creativity, cultural awareness and a sense of empowerment within the group  Young and old alike will hear, “Welcome to Culture Kingdom Kids, where we create fun and cultural experiences for your ROYAL children!” 

This special children’s event will be held Saturday, February 21 at 11:00 AM at the Alexandria Black History Museum, 902 Wythe Street, Alexandria, VA. 22314  Admission is  $5.00 per person. Advance reservations for this popular event are encouraged.

Jessica Smith, a former teacher, is the founder, owner and teaching artist for Culture Kingdom Kids, which presents educational programs, workshops and themed party entertainment that embraces African American history, culture, and ethnic pride.  A sense of energy and commitment exude from Smith and the sensory masterpieces she creates.  Culture Kingdom Kids events are fun for the whole family.
