Mayor William D. Euille invites Alexandrians to attend an upcoming Community Forum on Criminal Justice and Community Partnerships to learn more about the City's criminal justice agencies and their work with the community. This event will be held on Tuesday, January 20, from 7 to 8:30 p.m., at the Durant Center, 1605 Cameron St.
The City’s primary criminal justice officials, including Commonwealth’s Attorney Bryan Porter, Sheriff Dana Lawhorne and Police Chief Earl Cook, will take part in a panel discussion and community conversation moderated by Julie Carey, NBC4’s Northern Virginia Bureau Chief and a longtime City resident.
Panelists will discuss existing community partnerships, how their agencies engage the community, and what could be done to enhance involvement and dialogue with residents and business people.
The agencies scheduled to participate are the Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office, City Attorney’s Office, Sheriff’s Office, Police Department, Public Defender’s Office, Human Rights Office, and the Probation and Parole Office.
