[Archived] UPDATE: Police Release Suspect Description in Malicious Wounding


The Alexandria Police Department is investigating a malicious wounding and burglary that occurred in the 400 block of Jackson Place. Additional offenses of robbery and abduction are now being investigated in this case.

The suspect in this incident is described as a black male between 40 and 50-years-of-age, 6’2” with a medium build and a medium to dark complexion. He was unshaven with a slight mustache and was last seen wearing a brown waist-length jacket, black pants, and black wool cap.

The suspect was last seen at the intersection of E. Braddock Road and Mount Vernon Avenue at approximately 3:45 p.m. on Friday, January 9, 2015.

Alexandria Police Department Detectives will be canvasing the neighborhood and speaking with residents on Sunday, January 11, 2015, after 12 p.m.  Expect Police activity in the area. Police Investigate Burglary and Malicious Wounding

The Alexandria Police Department is investigating a burglary and subsequent malicious wounding that occurred in the 400 block of Jackson Place this afternoon.  

Around 4 p.m. on Friday, January 9, police responded to a residence for the report of a stabbing. Preliminary investigation suggests that an elderly couple entered their home and interrupted a burglary. The victim, an 84-year-old man, was stabbed by the suspect. The victim was transported to the hospital where he is in serious condition. The suspect was not located and there is no description to release at this time.
