[Archived] Police Investigate Robbery at SunTrust Bank on Kenmore Avenue

The Alexandria Police Department is investigating the robbery of a SunTrust Bank located in the 4600 block of Kenmore Avenue.  Around 10:45 a.m. on Thursday, November 20, a man entered the bank and displayed handgun.  He demanded money, the teller complied and the suspect fled. There were no injuries.

The suspect is described as a black male in his late 20’s, approximately 5’11”, with a slim build. He was last seen wearing sunglasses, an oversize orange or burgundy winter coat, black jeans, black knit hat. He displayed a black handgun during the robbery.
