[Archived] Invasive Species Control Project at Windmill Hill Park

The Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities is completing an invasive species control project in Windmill Hill Park, 501 S. Union St. beginning  the week of November 24, and weather permitting, continuing into early December. Residents will see crews at work during the daytime.

The project includes the removal of invasive Ailanthus trees and other trees posing a safety hazard near the Wilkes Street Tunnel. Following the tree removals, erosion control, backfilling and establishment of turf and/or native plants will complete the project.
