[Archived] A. Jerome Fletcher II, Special Assistant to the Alexandria City Manager, Resigns to Accept Federal Appointment

Jerome FletcherCity Manager Rashad M. Young has announced that A. Jerome Fletcher II, Special Assistant to the City Manager, will resign effective October 17 to accept appointment as Associate Administrator for the Office of Small Business Utilization of the U.S. General Services Administration.

“Jerome has been an indispensable asset to our organization, and to me as city manager,” said Young.  “He has helped ensure service excellence for our customers and promoted an engaged community."

Fletcher joined the City in 2012.  He currently oversees the Office of Civic and Community Engagement, which includes the City’s primary customer service program, Call.Click.Connect., and the City’s civic engagement framework, What’s Next, Alexandria?   He previously worked to improve the City’s legislative workflow processes and staff services to City Council.

“I have truly enjoyed my time here in Alexandria, creating many lifelong professional and personal relationships,” said Fletcher.  “I’m proud of the work we’ve done together, and will cherish the people here.”
