The City of Alexandria invites the public to attend an informal Open House for the Public Art Plan on Tuesday, September 9 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at St. Elmo’s Coffee Pub located at 2300 Mt. Vernon Ave. or on Wednesday, September 10 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Chinquapin Park Recreation & Aquatics Facility Center located at 3210 King St.
Attendees will have an opportunity to learn about the Public Art Plan and provide input on the plan development. Refreshments will be available. If you are unable to attend an open house event, you can learn more about the Public Art Plan and provide comments at www.alexandriava.gov/publicart.
The City of Alexandria Office of the Arts is working with the team of Todd Bressi with Via: Partnership and Lardner – Klein Landscape Architects in developing a city-wide public art master plan. These open house events are used to gather information and opinions that will inform the consultants’ understanding of the nature of the community, public space and community arts, as well as the character and use of valued community spaces, in Alexandria.
