[Archived] City of Alexandria Seeks Public Input on the Final Draft of the Fort Ward Park and Museum Area Management Plan

The Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities and the Office of Historic Alexandria are working with the consultant team of Lardner/Klein to develop a management plan for the Fort Ward Park and Museum Area.  The purpose of the management plan is to integrate the work developed by the Ad Hoc Fort Ward Park and Museum Area Stakeholder Advisory Group and the City of Alexandria into a coherent management strategy with recommendations for how to sustain, maintain and interpret the site for the benefit of all. The City’s Historic Alexandria Resources, Park and Recreations and Environmental Policy Commissions are hosting a public meeting to receive input from the community on the final draft of the plan.  The meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at 7 p.m. in the City Council Workroom in City Hall. For those unable to attend these meetings, an online comment board is available on the web page provided above. 

Alexandria’s City Hall is located at 301 King Street, Alexandria, Virginia 22314. The City Council Workroom is on the second floor in Room 2410.
