[Archived] Celebrate National Night Out on Tuesday, August 5 with a Dip in the Pool and Live Jazz

On Tuesday, August 5, the Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities will collaborate with City officials in celebration of Annual National Night Out with Jazz by the Memorial Pool from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. This free event includes games, refreshments, live Jazz music by Vaughn Ambrose and swimming at the outdoor pool as part of the Parker Gray Community activities for National Night Out, cosponsored by the Alexandria Housing and Redevelopment Authority. The Memorial Pool is located at the Charles Houston Recreation Center, 901 Wythe St.

In celebration of National Night Out, the Old Town Pool, located at 1609 Cameron St., and Warwick Pool, located at 3301 Landover St., will offer extended swimming hours until 8 p.m. as well as refreshments and fun activities for the entire family. Pool admission is free from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

From 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., the Del Ray Citizen's Association is cosponsoring free music, food and entertainment for all ages at Mt. Vernon Recreation Center, 2701 Commonwealth Ave.
