Saturday, August 9

Find your Mr. Darcy at Gadsby’s Tavern Museum

The ball will be held in the historic ballroom of Gadsby’s Tavern Museum, featuring a variety of English Country dances, live music, cash bar, period-inspired desserts, and “iced refreshments.” Although period costume is optional, “after five” attire is encouraged in order to keep the ambiance of the evening elegant and dashing! The ball will be held from 8 – 11 p.m. Tickets are $45 per person and reservations are required.

In the late 18th and early 19th centuries, Gadsby’s Tavern was the center of social and political life in Alexandria and the new Federal City of Washington. The tavern served as the premier gathering place for residents – including George Washington – and visitors to eat, drink, learn, and influence history. Gadsby’s Tavern Museum is located in the heart of Old Town Alexandria. For more information, please visit www.gadsbystavern.org. To purchase tickets, please visit the online shop or call 703.746.4242.
