The City of Alexandria invites the public to attend an informal Open House for the Public Art Master Plan on Monday, June 23 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Torpedo Factory,105 N. Union St., or on Tuesday, June 24 from noon to 2 p.m. at the Beatley Branch Library, 5005 Duke St. Refreshments will be available.
Attendees will have an opportunity to learn about the Public Art Master Plan and provide input on the plan development. If you are unable to attend an open house event, you can learn more about the Public Art Master Plan at www.alexandriava.gov/Publicart
The City of Alexandria Office of the Arts is working with the team of Todd Bressi with Via: Partnership and Lardner – Klein Landscape Architects in developing a citywide Public Art Master Plan. These are the first open house events used to gather information and opinions that will inform the consultants’ understanding of the nature of the community, public space and community arts, as well as the character and use of valued community spaces in Alexandria.
