[Archived] Police Investigate Verizon Store Robberies
The Alexandria Police Department is investigating robberies from two Verizon Stores that occurred on April 17, and may involve the same suspect.
At approximately 11:20 a.m., an adult male robbed the Verizon Store in the 1400 block of N. Beauregard Street. Officers were then called to a similar robbery of a Verizon Store in the 800 block of S. Washington Street around 11:55 a.m. In each robbery, the suspect displayed a handgun and demanded valuables, including cash and electronics. No one was injured at either store.
The suspect is described as a black male, between 20 to 30 years old, 6’1” to 6’3”, 200 to 220 lbs, with a beard. The suspect was last seen wearing a dark baseball cap with an emblem on the front. He was also wearing a dark jacket or hoodie, and jeans. The suspect was seen leaving the second store in a small silver sedan.
