Alexandria Commission for Women Seeks Nominations for 2014 Salute to Women Awards

The Alexandria Commission for Women seeks nominations for the 34^th Annual Salute to Women Awards. The awards, which recognize women, men and youth who have made a significant impact on women in Alexandria, will be presented at the annual banquet to be held March 31 at a new location, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. The deadline to nominate is 5 p.m. February 28, 2014.

The deadline to nominate is 5 p.m. February 28, 2014.

The 10 awards recognize achievement in areas including health and safety, legislative advocacy, lifetime achievement and providing opportunities for youth. Individuals may nominate more than one person and nominees from prior years may be nominated again. For most categories, those honored need not be residents of Alexandria; however, their efforts must be focused within the City of Alexandria.
