[Archived] City of Alexandria Announces Procedures for the 2014 Community Garden Season

The Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities announces procedures for the 2014 Community Garden season. Community Garden Policies and Procedures define the terms and conditions for the reservation of 194 community garden plots located in Chinquapin Park, 3210 King St., and Holmes Run Parkway.

Community plots are available as follows:

• Full size Community Garden Plot (15’ x 20’): $55/resident and $75/nonresident
• Half size Community Garden Plot (10’ x 15’): $28/resident and $35/nonresident

Individuals interested in receiving information to apply for a garden plot or who would like to comment on the Community Garden Program, contact John Walsh, Horticulturalist, at 703.746.4654 or john.walsh@alexandriava.gov.

Individuals unable to reserve a garden plot for the 2014 season can request placement on the Community Garden wait list.
