[Archived] The City of Alexandria to Gather Public Input on the Draft Management Plan for the Fort Ward Park and Museum Area

The purpose of the public input sessions is to provide the community with an opportunity to talk and provide feedback to the Fort Ward Park and Museum Ad Hoc Advisory Group, City staff and the consultant team of Lardner/Kleina bout the draft plan.

The Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities and the Office of Historic Alexandria are working with the consultant team of Lardner/Klein to develop a management plan for the Fort Ward Park and Museum Area. The purpose of the management plan is to integrate the work developed by the Ad Hoc Fort Ward Park and Museum Area Stakeholder Advisory Group and the City of Alexandria into a coherent management strategy with recommendations for how to sustain, maintain and interpret the site for the benefit of all. A draft of the management plan is available for review at https://www.alexandriava.gov/29638.
