[Archived] UPDATE: Suspect in Bank Robbery Apprehended

Alexandria Police have obtained a warrant charging Sean Michael Craig, 28, of Woodbridge, with Robbery in connection to the robbery at PNC Bank on January 3, 2014.

Craig was arrested in Prince William County on January 27, after robbing a bank in that jurisdiction. He is being held at the Prince William-Manassas Regional Adult Detention Center without bond. Investigation of the suspect and other bank robberies is on-going in Prince William and Stafford Counties. Additional charges may be forthcoming.

Alexandria Police Investigate Robbery at PNC Bank on Duke Street

Alexandria Police are investigating a bank robbery that occurred at the PNC Bank, located at 4513 Duke Street on Friday, January 3. Around 2:15 p.m., the suspect entered the bank and demanded cash. The teller relinquished an undisclosed amount of cash and the suspect fled the bank. No one was injured.

The suspect is described as a white male, 25 to 35 years old, 5'10" to 6'0" with a thin build.

Anyone with information about the robbery or who recognizes the suspect in the surveillance photos is asked to call Detective Chris Whelan at 703.746.6884. Detectives would like to remind witnesses that they can remain anonymous.
