[Archived] Police Arrest Suspect in Postal Carrier Robbery

Alexandria Police, in connection with the U.S. Postal Inspection Service, have arrested a man connected to the robbery of a U.S. postal carrier in the 700 block of Fayette Street. On January 15, 2014, three masked males brandished a firearm at a postal carrier and robbed him of his cell phone.

Gary Love, III, 20, of Alexandria, was charged with Robbery. He is being held without bond at the Alexandria Detention Center.

Anyone with information about this robbery is asked to call the Criminal Investigations Section of the Alexandria Police Department at 703.746.6711.

The U.S. Postal Inspection Service is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect who robbed this postal carrier. Call the U.S. Postal Inspection Service at 1.877.876.2455 (select Option 2). All information will be kept confidential.
