[Archived] City of Alexandria Winter Weather Update, January 22, 2014

City of Alexandria government offices and facilities are open as scheduled for Wednesday, January 22, except for the Gadsby’s Tavern, Stabler-Leadbeater Apothecary, and Fort Ward Museums, which are closed today.

City crews have been working 12-hour shifts since 7 a.m. on Tuesday, January 21, to ensure Alexandria's streets are safe for travel. Street crews treated and plowed primary routes through the night. Early this morning, treatment had been completed on primary roads and crews moved to secondary routes and hills to facilitate this morning's commute. Today, crews will work on residential streets until all roads are safe. Residents are asked to be patient, as crews are working as quickly as possible.
