Alexandria Police have arrested Carlton Thorne, 48, City resident, and charged him with Robbery in connection with the robbery at TD Bank, located at 557 South Van Dorn Street.

Alexandria Police are investigating a bank robbery that occurred earlier today at the TD Bank located at 557 South Van Dorn Street.
At approximately 2:10 p.m., a man entered the bank, implied he had a weapon, and demanded money. The teller relinquished an undisclosed amount of cash and the suspect fled the bank. There were no injuries. The suspect was last seen entering a white sedan on South Pickett Street.
The suspect is described as a black male in his 40s, 6’0” with short hair. The suspect was wearing a white tee shirt, jeans, a black fleece jacket and dark-colored shoes.
