[Archived] Update: Alexandria Police Identify Victim in North Armistead Street Shooting

Alexandria Police have identified the victim in last night’s shooting on North Armistead Street as Bradley Bostick, 40, of the 400 block of North Armistead Street.   The manner of death has been ruled to be homicide after an autopsy performed this morning by the Northern Virginia Medical Examiner. The investigation is ongoing.

This is Alexandria’s fifth homicide in 2013. 

 

Alexandria Police Investigate Shooting on North Armistead Street

Alexandria police are investigating a shooting that occurred on Wednesday, July 24, in the 400 block of North Armistead Street.

At approximately 5:30 p.m., police were called to North Armistead Street for a report of shots fired. Upon their arrival, officers located the victim, a 40 year-old male, with an apparent gun shot wound to the upper body. Paramedics examined the victim and pronounced him dead on the scene.

The victim's identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. No motive has been established and no suspect description is available. The investigation is ongoing.
