[Archived] Draft Plans for the City’s Six Large Parks Now Available for Review

Over the past nine months, over 585 Alexandria residents provided feedback on the City’s large parks, including Four Mile Run Park, Simpson Park, Chinquapin Park, Holmes Run Park System, Hensley Park, and Brenman/Boothe Parks. Park Planning staff has used the feedback develop draft plans for each Park.

We now invite you to review the draft plans both through a survey and at upcoming Park Workshops to let us know: Did we hear you? Have we considered the needs of everyone who uses the park? What else can be improved? What is the priority? The public comment period will be open until the end of June 2013. After that point we will refine the plans based upon public feedback. Once the plans are finalized we will develop an implementation strategy including incremental phasing of plan components and cost estimates.

The draft plans are available for viewing and comment by visiting https://www.alexandriava.gov/65170. There will also be opportunities for comment and discussion at scheduled workshops.
