[Archived] Alexandria Police Investigate Fatal Pedestrian Crash

Alexandria Police are investigating a pedestrian crash that resulted in the death of an adult man. The incident occurred at approximately 7:00 A.M. on Friday, December 14, on West Braddock Road between North Hampton Drive and North Beauregard Street.

Initial investigation indicates that the driver of a 2002 Honda Accord was driving westbound on West Braddock Road when it struck the man, who was crossing the middle of the road. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.   The driver of the vehicle was taken to a nearby hospital and treated for minor injuries.

The identity of the victim is unknown at this time and pending an autopsy by the Medical Examiner’s Office.  They identity will be released once known and notification of next of kin has been made.

Members of the Crash Reconstruction Team are investigating the incident.
