[Archived] Alexandria Police Investigate Robbery at TD Bank

Alexandria Police are investigating a bank robbery that occurred at the TD Bank, located at 119 S. Washington Street. Around 3:48 P.M. on Sunday, December 9, a man entered the bank, handed the teller a note that implied a weapon and demanded money. The teller relinquished an undisclosed amount of cash and the suspect fled the bank. No one was injured.

The suspect is described as a black male with a beard and approximately 6’1” with a medium build. He was wearing a dark colored hooded jacket, blue jeans and light colored shoes.

Anyone with information about the robbery or who recognizes the suspect in the surveillance photos is asked to call Detective William Oakley at 703.746.6606 or the Criminal Investigations Section of the Alexandria Police Department at 703.746.6711.

Detectives would like to remind witnesses that they can remain anonymous.
