[Archived] Alexandria Police Investigate Robbery at Wells Fargo

Alexandria Police are investigating a bank robbery that occurred at the Wells Fargo Bank, located at 330 N. Washington Street. Around 9:23 A.M. on Saturday, November 24, a man wearing a mask entered the bank, displayed a knife and demanded money. The teller relinquished an undisclosed amount of money and the suspect fled the bank. No one was injured.

The suspect is described as an unknown race male, approximately 5’8” to 5’9” with a medium build. He was wearing a red and white hooded sweatshirt with a stripe down the arms, dark pants and a mask with a white face with fake blood on the cheek and eye area. He was also wearing dark gloves and was armed with a knife.

Anyone with information about the robbery or who recognizes the suspect in the surveillance photos is asked to call Detective Sean Casey at 703.746.6853 or the Criminal Investigations Section of the Alexandria Police Department at 703.746.6711.

Detectives would like to remind witnesses that they can remain anonymous.
