[Archived] Alexandria’s Second Half Real Estate Tax Bills Mailed

The City of Alexandria has mailed bills for the second half 2012 real estate tax and refuse fee to all property owners and/or mortgage companies. Second half real estate tax payments are due November 15. Any resident who does not pay real estate taxes through their mortgage company and does not receive a bill prior to November 1, should contact the Treasury Division at payments@alexandriava.gov or 703.746.3902. Any resident who has recently refinanced a mortgage should verify that the new mortgage holder received a tax bill.

Property owners who have had a change of mailing address but have not previously reported this change to the City should contact the Department of Real Estate Assessments at realestate@alexandriava.gov or 703.746.4646 to ensure that future bills and correspondence are mailed to the correct address.

Additional information on real estate taxes is available on the City’s website at alexandriava.gov/RealEstateTax. Information on real estate assessments, appeals or updating a mailing address can be obtained from the Department of Real Estate Assessments. Information on payments, late payment penalty and interest can be obtained through the Alexandria Tax Guide at alexandriava.gov/TaxGuide or from the Treasury Division.
