[Archived] Alexandria Police Make Arrest in Rosemont Burglaries

Alexandria police have arrested Vincent Edward Evans, 20, Alexandria resident, in connection with a series of burglaries and larcenies from automobiles that occurred in the Rosemont area of the City over the past few months.  On Monday, August 6, detectives executed a search warrant on Evans’ residence and recovered evidence.

Detectives took Evans into custody and charged him in two burglaries.  The first burglary occurred in the 300 block of West Masonic View Avenue and the second in the 100 block of East Linden Street.  For these two cases, Evans has been charged with two counts of Burglary, two counts of Grand Larceny, two counts of Grand Larceny with the Intent to Sell, two counts of Conspiring to Commit Burglary and two counts of Conspiring to Commit Grand Larceny.  Evans was also charged with one count of Petit Larceny and one count of Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute.  He was taken to the Adult Detention Center where he is being held without bond.  The investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be forthcoming.
