Virginia Cares Program to Focus on Restoration of Rights

Persons who have lost the right to vote as a result of a felony conviction in a Virginia court, a U.S. District or a military court are invited to attend the Virginia Cares Ex-Offender Program Saturday, June 23 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Human Services Building, 2525 Mt. Vernon Ave., Alexandria, to learn more about applying for restoration of rights.  The restoration of rights restores the rights to vote, to run for and hold public office, to serve on juries and to serve as a notary public.  For additional information, contact James Green at 703.746.5919 or at james.green@alexandriava.gov.
