[Archived] Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities to Host Community Meeting on Aquatics Facilities Study

For Immediate Release: April 18, 2012

The Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities will host a public meeting on Wednesday, April 25, 7 p.m. at the Lee Center Kauffman Auditorium, 1108 Jefferson St., to review the findings of the City of Alexandria Aquatics Facilities Study.  The public is encouraged to attend.

As part of a yearlong effort to study and understand the existing conditions and future needs for aquatics facilities in the City, the consultant team of Kimley Horn and Counsilman Hunsaker will present their findings and provide an opportunity for the public to respond to alternatives for addressing future aquatics planning. Individuals unable to attend the community meeting may review the report at www.alexandriava.gov/Recreation beginning May 1.
