[Archived] City of Alexandria to Host Informational Meeting on Proposed Enhancements to Holmes Run Trail Play Areas

The City of Alexandria invites the public to attend an informational meeting concerning proposed changes to the existing play areas located on the Holmes Run Trail between Duke Street and Van Dorn Street.  The meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. on February 22 at Patrick Henry Recreation Center, 4643 Taney Ave.

Staff will provide recommendations for removing and/or replacing existing playground equipment.   These recommendations are being proposed to improve compliance with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission Public Playground Safety Handbook and the U.S. Department of Justice ADA Standards for Accessible Design.  For questions or more information, contact Judy Lo, at 703.746.5490 or email judy.lo@alexandriava.gov.
