Alexandria Police are investigating a sexual assault that occurred on Thursday, December 8, at approximately 9:10 P.M. on Little Street near the intersection with E. Maple Avenue. A female was walking home from work when she was grabbed from behind by a man who pushed her to the ground and inappropriately touched her. She screamed and the suspect fled on foot. He was last seen running towards Walnut Street. The suspect is described as an unknown race male, 25-30 years old and clean shaven. He is approximately 5’8” to 5’10” and was wearing a dark jacket and a winter knit cap with a red stripe.
It is too early in the investigation to determine if this incident is related to a similar incident on a female jogger that occurred on Monday, November 21, at 6:00 A.M. in the 200 block of E. Del Ray Avenue.
