WHO: Alexandria Fire Department And Baskin Robbins
WHAT: The Alexandria Fire Department will partner with Baskin Robbins, 1701 Centre Plaza, 3020 Duke Street and 3325 Jefferson Davis Highway this Wednesday from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. As part of a national Baskin Robbins event “31 Cent Scoop Night” the Fire Department will help collect money to benefit the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation.
Come out and get a 2.5 ounce scoop of Baskin Robbins ice cream for just 31¢. In celebration of 31 Cent Scoop Night, Baskin Robbins will make a donation of $100,000 to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation. The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation is a tax-exempt, nonprofit institution, established by Congress in 1992, that leads a nationwide effort to remember America’s fallen firefighters and assist their families and coworkers. In 2004, it established the Everyone Goes Home Program to help prevent firefighter line-of-duty deaths. For information on the NFFF go to www.FireHero.org.
The Fire Department will collect additional donations at Baskins Robbins which will be donated directly to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation. Come out for a fun evening and make a difference while you’re there!
