[Archived] Alexandria Police Investigate Bank Robbery at Bank of America Located on North Washington Street

Alexandria Police are investigating a bank robbery that occurred this afternoon at the Bank of America, located at 600 North Washington Street.  Around 2:49 P.M., a man entered the bank, implied a weapon and demanded money.  The teller relinquished an undisclosed amount of cash and the suspect fled the area.  No one was injured.

The suspect is described as a black male, at least six feet tall.  The suspect was wearing a dark colored hoodie, light colored coat, dark colored pants and a knit cap.  Photos of the suspect were captured on a video surveillance camera.

Anyone recognizing the suspect in the photos or with any additional information about this robbery is asked to call the Criminal Investigations Section of the Alexandria Police Department at 703.838.4444 or the Crime Solvers tip line at 703.838.4858.

Detectives would like to remind witnesses that they can remain anonymous.
