[Archived] The Alexandria Fire Department Reminds Residents to be Aware Carbon Monoxide — The Silent Killer

With the recent dip in temperatures and increased demand on home heating systems to keep families warm, the Alexandria Fire Department wants to remind the community to be aware of the dangers of Carbon Monoxide poisoning in homes equipped with fuel burning equipment. 

Get more information and safety tips on avoiding Carbon Monoxide poisoning.

Remember, if you have a Carbon Monoxide alarm and it is sounding, get outside to fresh air and call 911.  The Alexandria Fire Department wants everyone to be warm and safe this winter. Make sure your home has carbon monoxide alarms.
