[Archived] City of Alexandria to Host Annual Invitational Cheerleading Competition

The Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities is hosting an Invitational Cheerleading Competition on Saturday, December 11 at T.C. Williams High School, 3330 King St. at 11 a.m. The competition features cheerleading teams from Charles Barrett, Charles Houston, Cora Kelly, Mount Vernon, Nannie J. Lee, Patrick Henry and William Ramsay Recreation Centers, as well as teams from around the metro DC area.  

Participants will compete in three divisions: Pee Wee (7 and under), Youth (12 and under) and Junior (16 and under) divisions. This entertaining family event provides participating teams with the opportunity to display their enthusiasm for their sport, and the skills they have developed through regular practice and hard work.  In addition, individual awards will be presented for “individual performance,” “jumps” and “tumbling skills.” 

Tickets may be purchased in advance at any neighborhood Recreation Center, or at the Lee Center, 1108 Jefferson St. through Thursday, December 9. Tickets will also be available at the door as follows:
