Tuesday, November 30 – Community Meeting to Discuss Special Tax Districts 
The public is invited to attend and participate in this community meeting to discuss the proposed Potomac Yard special tax districts, which would finance the proposed Potomac Yard Metrorail Station. The meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m. in Rooms 348A and B of George Washington Middle School, located at 1005 Mount Vernon Ave. For more information, contact the City Manager's Office at 703.746.4300.

Thursday, December 2 – Housing Master Plan Advisory Group Meeting
The next meeting of the Housing Master Plan Advisory Group will be held from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at Jefferson Houston Elementary School, 1501 Cameron St., in the multipurpose room. Wednesday, December 8 - Jones Point Park Construction “Pardon Our Dust” Meeting
The Virginia Department of Transportation and Potomac Crossing Consultants, with participation by the Contractor, Lane Construction, and the National Park Service, will host a Jones Point Park Construction “Pardon Our Dust Meeting” at 7 p.m. at the Lee Center, 1108 Jefferson St.  The purpose of the meeting will be to inform the community of to expect when construction begins, construction time frames, and to answer questions regarding planned phased construction efforts. Wednesday, December 8 – Community Meeting on Priority Transportation Projects Funding Proposal
A community meeting will be held to discuss a funding proposal regarding Alexandria’s Priority Transportation Projects. This funding proposal is being developed as part of the FY2012 budget process to identify short and long term projects that address Alexandria’s most pressing transportation needs. Alexandria Marketing Fund Announces Application Deadlines for FY 2011-2012
Applications are now being accepted for the Alexandria Marketing Fund, a program administered by the Alexandria Marketing Committee. The Marketing Fund is designed to foster public-private partnerships that develop projects to enhance the long-term marketing priorities of the City; increase awareness and improve the quality of Alexandria’s diverse businesses, promote Alexandria to specific target audiences, and generate additional business sales and tax revenues in Alexandria. Application deadlines for the FY 2011-2012 funding cycle are Tuesday, January 18, 2011; Tuesday, June 21, 2011; and Tuesday, August 16, 2011. City of Alexandria Commission for the Arts Seeking Volunteers to Serve on Resource Panels
The Alexandria Commission for the Arts is seeking volunteers with experience and interest in dance, literature, music, theatre and visual arts to serve on Resource Panels. Responsibilities include reviewing and evaluating Fiscal Year 2012 grant applications for grantees seeking funding for various arts programs.
