City of Alexandria Commission for the Arts Seeking Volunteers to Serve on Resource Panels

The Alexandria Commission for the Arts is seeking volunteers with experience and interest in dance, literature, music, theatre and visual arts to serve on Resource Panels.  Responsibilities include reviewing and evaluating Fiscal Year 2012 grant applications for grantees seeking funding for various arts programs.

Volunteers are also needed for the Arts Education, Marketing and the Business and the Arts Committees.  Volunteers who serve on Committees assist the Alexandria Commission for the Arts in advancing the organization’s goals, objectives and strategies. All volunteers serve three year terms.  

Individuals with experience in arts education, business, or who are civic leaders, arts patrons and artists are encouraged to apply. To volunteer send an email stating the Panel or Committee on which you wish to serve, along with a recent resume/curriculum vitae to aca@alexandriava.gov, or send a letter to the Alexandria Commission for the Arts c/o Durant Arts Center, 1605 Cameron St., Alexandria, VA 22314.
